Kris Karafa has held a variety of leadership and management responsibilities over his career. His experience includes finance, development and construction management roles for energy and infrastructure projects and companies. Previously, Kris was Vice President of Development for Venture Global LNG, a US LNG export company, and Director of Development at South Louisiana Methanol. In these roles, Kris was actively involved in managing development initiatives for two LNG terminals (combined 30 MTPA capacity) as well as managing the non-recourse debt-financing process for a $2 billion methanol project. Kris also held several roles within Bechtel, in the corporate finance and investment group, Bechtel Enterprises, as well as in the infrastructure group, where he was responsible for managing $150 million of construction in the main terminal building of Qatar’s international airport. Kris started his career as an officer in the US Army, where he served for nine years.
