Before Gen X Energy, Hieu served as Senior Associate at Allens Linklaters, an Australian-based law firm. His practice during his more than ten years with Allens focused on project finance, oil and gas, energy and infrastructure, with a primary focus on the development, construction, financing, operation, and the long-term offtake agreement for fuels, petrochemical products, and electricity of refineries and infrastructure projects in Vietnam. Hieu's clients included refineries, power plants, and energy and infrastructure developers. While at Allens Linklaters, Hieu advised clients in connection with the development, financing and construction of the largest refinery and petrochemical plants in Vietnam and a number of BOT coal-fired thermal power plants.
